Florida State Quarterback Jordan Travis' Season Ends Due to Leg Injury

Travis Sustains Brutal Injury in Loss to North Alabama

Quarterback's College Career Abruptly Halted

Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis announced on Instagram Sunday that he has suffered a severe leg injury that will end his season. Travis sustained the injury during Saturday's game against North Alabama, which the Seminoles lost 24-23.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat, Travis's left leg was placed in an air cast after the game. However, the quarterback was walking around with a smile on his face when he met with reporters Sunday.

"It's tough, but I'll be back," Travis said. "I'm not going to let this injury define me. I'm going to come back stronger than ever."

Travis, a senior, has been Florida State's starting quarterback for the past two seasons. He has thrown for 3,070 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions during his career.

With Travis out, Florida State will likely turn to redshirt freshman Tate Rodemaker as its starting quarterback. Rodemaker has appeared in three games this season, completing 28-of-45 passes for 292 yards and two touchdowns.

The Seminoles are now 5-7 on the season and need to win their final two games to become bowl eligible.
